Co-optees

Forum members are welcome to meet at one of the four 'Open Forums' to raise and discuss issues and are kept up to date on Council developments. The Forum also runs some consultation events with women.

The Role of the Women's forum

Advisors are elected each year by members of the Forum. They meet about once a month to discuss issues of concern to women, which are then raised with councillors and officers. Training and support is offered to new Advisors. For more information on the role of an advisor click the following.

Advisors elect Co-optees who have a formal place on the Council's Scrutiny Commissions. for more information on the role of a Co-optee click the following.
