Bristol Women's Forum AGM 2008

Consultation on Bristol's Rape and Sexual Assault Strategy

The British Crime Survey estimates that 80% of rapes and sexual assaults go unreported in this country and even where they are reported only a very low percentage result in a conviction. The Safer Bristol Partnership has focussed on this serious violent crime that has a disproportional impact on women and produced a strategy that we are keen to hear your views on. In addition we have a new Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) opening in Bristol alongside ongoing resources to develop a Rape Crisis service. Come and have your say on how we can best deliver these crucial services for women in Bristol.

In the second part of the AGM the Forum will report back on activities and present its work programme for the coming year. This is followed by the election of Advisors and Co-optees.

Childcare and travel expenses will be reimbursed against a receipt. Please get in touch beforehand if you require a taxi or any assistence / access needs.

AGM: Wednesday 21st May 2008, 7-9pm (light refreshments and expenses from 6.30pm), Council House, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TR
